Our Founder
Akiko Hawkins - CEO / Director
Living in a country far away from Japan is not always easy.
Over the many years I have lived here in Perth, Australia, I have been supported by the Japanese community more times than I can count.
Without these connections within the community, I would not be who I am today.
In fact, it was by living overseas that I became even more aware of my identity as a Japanese person. I believe this sense of identity will remain with me no matter how much I age.
As the years pass, I feel an even stronger appreciation for my culture, my identity, and the importance of the community around me. At the same time, I have also been supported and inspired by Australia’s multicultural society, where people from many different backgrounds are accepted, respected, and embraced with generosity. I am truly grateful to live in such a warm and welcoming country where differences are recognized and valued.
As a nurse, an instructor, and as a Japanese person, I hope to use the experience I have gained over many years in both the Japanese and Australian communities to create a place here in Australia where people can live with peace of mind. Regardless of disability or age, I hope to help build a community where people can respect cultural differences, support one another, and live together in harmony while valuing each individual’s culture and identity.

Director
Mihoko Fraser, CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) - Director
Having moved to Australia from Japan in 1994, I’ve had the privilege of meeting people from all cultural backgrounds, while also finding a sense of belonging through Australia’s Japanese community. Living in such a diverse society has reinforced to me the importance of culturally sensitive support—its power to help people feel connected, understood, and at ease in their daily lives is undeniable.
As a CPA and registered Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) auditor, I have worked in the fields of finance, compliance, and governance. As Director of Rapport JP Care, I draw on my experience in care services, accounting, regulatory compliance, and organizational management to provide support that clients can trust and feel secure with.
At Rapport JP Care, we combine Australia’s high standards of care with a gentle Japanese approach—respectful communication, cultural understanding, and attention to detail.
